As a marriage celebrant you come into contact with couples of all types and at different life stages. Relationships Australia provides relationship support services and programs to assist couples to reflect and prepare for their commitment to each other.
Our Prepare for a Lasting Relationship program combines a seminar and private sessions with a counsellor to support couples to understand their strengths and manage their differences.
Other courses are available to help couples develop skills to build resilient and positive relationships for the long term. Courses like Building Better Relationships, Couple Communication or Managing Conflict can support and strengthen a partnership.
Some couples have particular issues of concern, like becoming a step family or coming from different cultures. Our counsellors are experienced in supporting couples and families to work through these issues. We also provide educational courses to help couples learn the skills to work as a team to deal with the changes and challenges they face.
To refer people to our services, please give them our central phone number 1300 364 277 and their call will be diverted to the centre closest to them. Potential clients will be offered an appointment with a family consultant, who will help them determine the type of services that will best meet their needs.
Our office hours for calls are Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm., though many of our services are provided out of hours.
