All current AIRS students are deemed to be members of the Relationships Australia NSW Library.
The RA NSW library holds a specialist collection of professional resources covering the subject areas of couple and family therapy, divorce, family mediation, mediation, counselling and related areas and has one of the most extensive collections of family therapy materials in Australia.
As well as the collection of approximately 4000 books, 180 audio/visual items and 60 journal titles, the library has access to the most relevant databases in the field.
AIRS students are encouraged to browse through and to borrow items from the collection.
Library services can also be accessed remotely. The experienced staff conduct literature searches; email, fax or post results; send out resources all over Australia; access books and articles not in the collection via Inter-Library Loan, and supply just-in-time, relevant responses to your information needs.
Member services include access to:
- a specialist reference service – library staff will provide answers to your reference queries by phone, fax or email
- a current awareness and journal contents page alert service
- Inter-Library Loans for articles or books not held in our collection [Note: a fee may apply for this service]
- the library catalogue anywhere, anytime.
